Important Appointment

His Majesty the Omukama Rukirabasaija Agutamba Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I appointed Mr. Nebojša Dikić as Royal Heraldic Artist of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom.

Mr. Dikić has performed several projects for Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom: royal coat of arms, official emblems for royal institutions etc. Mr. Dikić will continue his work for Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom on official base in role of Royal Heraldic Artist of Royal General Register for arms, flags, badges and bearings of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom.

The appointment is acknowledgment of Mr. Dikić’s work as Heraldic artist in the Board for Heraldic and Genealogical Studies of the Center for research of Orthodox Monarchism and is also important for Serbian heraldry.

Bunyoro-Kitara is one of the oldest kingdoms in Africa and the oldest kingdom in Republic of Uganda. It was one of the most powerful kingdoms in East Africa from the XVI to the XIX century.

This appointment was made possible by the efforts of Mr. Peter F. Gummersbach, President of Association of the Representatives of the Kingdom Bunyoro-Kitara (ARKBK) CLBG, Advisor of H.M the Omukama and H.M the Omugo and the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom, and The Reverend Father Deacon Nenad M. Jovanović, President of the Board for Heraldic and Genealogical Studies of The Center for Research of Orthodox Monarchism.
